1. The Club will be called the SEABROOK SEA ANGLERS ASSOCIATION.

2. The object of the Association is to obtain greater facilities for the amateur sport of sea angling, further social intercourse amongst members, provide advancements for sea angling, and to increase the importance of Seabrook as a fishing resort for sea anglers and community participation in the same. 

3.  The Association will consist of a President, Vice President, Chairman, Secretary and Ordinary Members

4.   The business of the association shall be conducted by a Committee with the President, Chairman, Secretary, Associate Secretary and Treasurer as ex officio members; five to form a quorum and shall meet monthly on due notice to discuss business and to pass accounts. The Chairman shall only have a casting vote.

5.    The officers and committee shall be elected at the (AGM) Annual General Meeting.

6.     Any nominated member not attending three consecutive meetings and failing to give a satisfactory reason for non-attendance shall be liable to suspension and the committee shall have the power to fill the vacancy.

7.      Life membership is to be free.

8.      Membership of the Club shall be open to anyone regardless of sex, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or other beliefs.

9.     Association membership shall be limited and  regulated by the committee on a non-discriminatory basis.

10.    No member shall participate in any benefits of the Association or compete in competitions unless his or her subscriptions for the current year have been paid. The consideration of specimen fish is included in this rule. 

11.    Any member of the Association misconducting himself or herself, or declining to comply with the rules of the Association, may after due investigation be suspended by a two-thirds majority of the committee. Such members may afterwards be expelled by a resolution by a special general meeting, called under rule 12 and his or her subscription and fees forfeited. No member to be expelled except by a two-thirds vote of those present.

11a. Members shall have the right to appeal in person to the committee with regard to any decision affecting themselves, provided that notice of such appeal be submitted to the secretary,in writing,within seven days of notification of the decision.

12.    A special general meeting may be called by a requisition to the secretary signed by seven members, but no other business shall be transacted at the meeting other than that for which the meeting has been called. All members are to receive seven clear days notice of such a meeting.

13.    The accounts of the Association shall be audited by two auditors to be appointed at the AGM. A general report shall be sent to each member no later than 31st January each year.14.    All surplus income or profits are to be re-invested in the Club. No surpluses or assets will be distributed to members or third parties.

15.    Upon dissolution of the Club any remaining assets shall be given or transferred to another registered CASC, a registered charity or the sports governing body. 

16.   The annual general meeting of the Association shall be held not later than the end of November to ensure all attending are paid up member for that year. Any member having any subject to bring forward at a general meeting must give seven clear days notice in writing to the secretary.

17.    Members having any subject for complaint must submit the same in writing to the secretary and he or she will bring the matter to the attention of the committee for their consideration. 

18.    If anything arises which is not provided by these rules the same shall be laid before the committee, for their consideration.
