1 . No member shall by words or actions cause the S.S.A.A. to be brought into disrepute 

2. All boats will carry safety equipment and be seaworthy                           

3. Only members to fish boat competitions.

4. One boat shall constitute a competition provided at least two members are fishing.

5. Start and finishing times are as stated on fixture list. Failure to land on the beach by the stated time could result in disqualification of those aboard (for that competition only).

6. A minimum of two members per boat, one member to fish at the discretion of the competition Secretary and the following are to be strictly adhered to:-

a) That the boats travel and anchor alongside each other.

b) Wear a life jacket or similar at all times.

c) Have a working radio or mobile phone and frequently make his/her well being known.

 7. In doubtful weather those members present will decide on the course of action, i.e. cancellation, shortened competition, reserve date or a new fixture. In the event of cancellation the competition shall be fished the following Sunday, weather and tides permitting.

 8. The championship will be decided by a points system already in operation, weights and sizes will be used; minimum fish sizes are displayed in Club hut.

 9. The All Day Cup will be decided by total Points

 10. A fish caught on any Club competition is eligible for the specimen award.

 11. Boat pairs and teams of four shall be decided at a random draw and best six results to count. If after four competitions members have not made an appearance, those affected will be re-drawn.

 12. All members are to book in 1 hour before competition.

 13. Any fish brought to the scales undersize will be fined £1.00 per fish to go to the Club. 

 14. No boat is permitted to fish within 25yds of any other. This allows the boat to re-anchor if it needs to reposition over a wreck or mark, unless Rule 6 applies.

 15. Competitions will be decided on a points basis except for Cod, Conger, Bass and Black Bream which will be decided by the heaviest weight. Species Cups will be decided on the most species caught over the year. Best of Species will be decided on a percentage of the NFSA specimen weight.

 16. In an effort to help conservation of fish stocks, all boat competitions will be fished on a points basis using the peg card system – only the heaviest fish of each Species to be brought to scales; every effort to be made to return fish alive at the time of capture and, to this end, the Club fines have been implemented.

 17. Specimen Cup, Species such as Wrasse, Gurnard, mullet and rays, must be verified by boat secretary and another committee member any disputes to be made in writing to the committee with photo attached.

 18. For all fish that score one point, only six fish of that species may be submitted in the competition. Also, for unclassified fish, only six each of any species may be submitted
